Lizard Lake (8,705 ft) is a 5-acre lake with an unknown depth along Crystal City Road (FSR #314) just a short distance from the #315/#314 road split on the way to the Crystal Mill and the town of Crystal. Lizard Lake sits between Sheep Mountain to the northeast and Hat Mountain to the southwest, with stunning views of Whitehouse Mountain in the distance to the southeast. This is a lake near Marble, CO.

I fished in it the other day and caught a few Cutthroats. Fishing guides have told me there are huge trout in the deep water, A guide told me nobody knows how deep it is. It’s a volcanic tunnel. He said it’s at least 200 feet deep. 🙀🤠
I’m taking a special trip just to fish here from Arizona. Any tips on what to use or where the best bite was?
