So they weren’t joking abt steep. Starts off steep and stays that way for quite a while. We did it in the snow, and yes got to some great views when out of the clouds. Some deer tracks.
“Nutty Steep” is an understatement. There are fairly long stretches that must be 45 degrees or steeper. It’s a great workout, and goes up the opposite side of the drainage, then along the ridge line overlooking the Frying Pan River valley. It is a great trail, but little used. You will probably have it all to yourself.
This is an amazing trail that connects with the popular Arbaney Kittle Trail to form a 3.5 mile loop. This side gets all the sun and in the winter is a great route compared to the shady ice on Arbaney Kittle. It’s nutty steep though.
