Cathedral Lake Trail #1984 is a difficult trail you can hike, run, and horseback ride that is dog friendly. This is a 2.8 mile dirt trail in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness near Ashcroft, CO.
To get to the trailhead, from the Aspen roundabout turn right onto Castle Creek Road and drive 12 miles. There is a trailhead sign on the right, past the Ashcroft Ghost Town before the Pine Creek Cookhouse. The dirt road winds another 0.6 miles before you reach the trail.
