The Interlaken Trail is an easy trail you can hike, run, mountain bike, and horseback ride that is dog friendly. This is a 2.2 mile dirt trail, that follows part of the Colorado Trail, to the National Historic Landmark of Interlaken in Twin Lakes, CO.
To get to the trailhead from Independence Pass Road (HWY 82) head southeast toward the reservoir dam. Just past the Mountain View Information Area is a pull off where the Colorado Trail crosses the dam, or you can also continue on Highway 82 and take a right on County Road 25. Follow the trail/road back west for about 1 mile to the Colorado Trailhead. The Interlaken Trail follows the Colorado Trail for 2.2 miles with the Twin Lake waters directly on your right.

The Interlaken Trail is an easy winter trail you can snowshoe, classic cross-country ski, and fat bike that is dog friendly. This is a 2.2 mile winter trail, following part of the Colorado Trail, to the National Historic Landmark of Interlaken in Twin Lakes, CO. This is not a groomed nordic trail.
