Multiple connections using a series of roads and/or trails connects Marble to Crested Butte. Popular connections include segments of the Four Pass Loop and Lead King Loop. Routes generally use one of these four passes – Hasley Pass (12,144 ft), Frigid Air Pass (12,405 ft), Schofield Pass (10,700 ft), Yule Pass (11,300 ft) – and the Carbondale to Crested Butte Trail will provide another trail alternative. There are multiple routes from Marble to Crested Butte that pass through wilderness areas where mountain bikes are prohibited – Schofield Pass (10,700 ft) via Schofield Pass Road (FSR #317) is the only route mountain bikes are an option.
