This is a lovely, lightly trafficked trail to horseback ride early summer to mid fall. The wildflowers are abundant in June and July and fall color mid September to mid October is amazing. Parts are steep and we prefer to dismount and walk our horses for about a quarter mile on the steepest grade. There are free range cattle for the first 3/4 mile and several water crossings along the way. When you reach the top of the ridge the view is stunning and a great place to stop for lunch!
