Middle Thompson Creek Road (FSR #306), also called South Branch Middle Thompson Creek Road, is an intermediate/moderate road you can hike, run, mountain bike, and horseback ride that is dog friendly. This is a 5 mile dirt road in the Thompson Divide near Carbondale, CO.
To get to Middle Thompson Creek Road (FSR #306) from Carbondale, travel 6.5 miles up Thompson Creek Road (CR 108) from the Colorado Rocky Mountain School and bridge crossing the Crystal River. Turn left on the unmarked dirt road where there is a large dirt turnaround area, this is South Thompson Creek Road (FSR #305). Follow the road for 3.7 miles to a left/right split. The road on the right is Middle Thompson Creek Road (FSR #306).
