Perham Creek Trail #1949 is an intermediate/moderate trail you can hike, run, and horseback ride that is dog friendly. This trail is closed Dec. 1 – March 31 to protect winter wildlife habitat. Mountain biking is not permitted to protect wildlife habitat and protect soil erosion. This is a 4.2 mile dirt trail near Carbondale, CO.
To get to the trailhead from Carbondale, head towards Redstone on Highway 133. Just before mile marker 58 (the mile marker sign is on the left side of the road) there is a double gate on the right. This is very easy to miss and easier to find if you go past mile marker 58 and turn around before Avalanche Creek. Then, headed back towards Carbondale, try to locate the now left turn to the Perham Creek Trailhead parking area immediately after the mile marker sign.
