The Sunlight to Powderhorn Trail, also called the SP Trail, is a winter trail you can snowshoe and cross-country ski that is popular for snowmobiling. The trail system consists of a single 120 mile route marked from Sunlight Mountain to Powderhorn Mountain on the Grand Mesa, and 180 more miles of associated trails. The trail contains both groomed and ungroomed sections. Lodging is available at the Electric Mountain Lodge and the Sunlight Mountain Inn. Fuel is available at Electric Mountain Lodge.
To get to the Four Mile Road Trailhead from Glenwood, follow Four Mile Road (CR 117) for approximately 9 miles to the intersection with Four Mile Road (FSR #300), just before the Sunlight Ski Area. Turn right onto FSR #300 which is a gravel road. Continue for approximately 2.5 miles to the parking area and start of the trailhead.
